Helpful details

Questions about this service.

Does damp near a chimney always mean the flashing has failed?+

No. Rain entry, condensation, flaunching, masonry and internal ventilation can produce similar symptoms, so the cause should be assessed.

Can you repoint a chimney?+

Yes, where repointing is the suitable remedy. Loose or severely damaged masonry may require additional work.

Do you replace lead flashing?+

We repair and replace leadwork at common roof junctions where needed, using an approach appropriate to the surrounding materials.

Will scaffolding be required?+

That depends on height, access and the work involved. Safe access requirements are explained with the quotation.
